Por las referencias que he leído del libro todos coinciden en nuestra excentricidad y alocado comportamiento. Aparte de otras perlas que dichos periodistas nos dedican a los habitantes de la piel de toro.

Para reafirmar esta teoría unas muchachas italianas que compartieron con mis amigos unas noches de fiesta por ese monstruo llamado Madrid (Sergio dixit) concluyeron que todos excepto uno estábamos como autenticas cabras. Bastante discutible lo de juzgar a alguien sólo en base a un par de dionisiacas noches.

Ante lo expuesto anteriormente me asaltan varias preguntas:

¿Tan diferentes somos del resto de los europeos?

¿Por qué a los extranjeros les gusta tanto España si tanto nos censuran? Será tal vez porque sólo en España pueden mostrarse como son.

Ciertamente la mayoría de españoles siguen a rajatabla la recomendación de Hipocrates de "dormir sobre algo blando, embriagarse de cuando en cuando y entregarse al coito cuando se presente ocasión" o simplemente seamos rimbaundianos inconscientes como leí hace mucho tiempo en un texto de Francisco Umbral.

¿No debería Europa aprender algo de nosotros?
